Cut to the chase, here’s my take
I enjoyed a lovely stay at this guest house, where the staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was comfortable with a smart TV and tea-making facilities. Although a bit out of the city center, the scenic riverside walk made the trip worthwhile. Ideal for those who appreciate a little exercise!

The location offered easy access to York, just a delightful 10-minute stroll to the city center. The room was spacious and clean, featuring handy USB charging points to keep devices powered. Steve, the host, made a big difference with his warm welcome and helpfulness. Secure parking was a nice touch, making it convenient for us. On the downside, the heating in our loft room turned off at night, leaving it a bit too chilly for comfort. the external bathroom arrangement was a slight inconvenience. a good stay and I'd consider returning if the heating was addressed.

The location is a sweet spot—just a scenic 20-minute walk along the river to major attractions. The room decor is tasteful, reflecting a high standard of cleanliness and comfort.
No facility for a self-serve breakfast. a kettle doesn't cut it, especially without alternative coffee or tea options. Check-out time is at 10am, which is tight if you have a later train, though luggage storage is available. The mattress needs a rethink—a bit too soft for my liking, and parking could be free for some added convenience.

The location is just a short walk from central attractions, making it easy to explore. The room was not only clean but also featured thoughtful USB charging ports, adding to the convenience. the lack of a breakfast facility was a bit disappointing, and the mattress could use some improvement for better sleep. Parking was chargeable, which added to the costs.
